J-Piv takes journey of lifetime, discovers 5-star hotels

I used to root for Jeremy Piven back when he was a total D-lister who was nothing but a sidekick on the Ellen Degeneres Show. But since he's started considering himself a celebrity (thanks to Entourage), he's become a royal douchebag.

Recently he did a show on the Travel Channel called Journey of a Lifetimewith Jeremy Piven. Best Week Ever Blog has a great write-up of the show, in which Jeremy runs around India saying "Namaste", checking his Blackberry and taking yoga at five-star hotels. What a tool!

Jeremy Pivens was raised in Chicago area and recently uprooted himself with his brand new Entourage status. As a D-Lister, he'd hit all the swank and hip places around Chicago because I'm sure he gets the A-List treatment along with his Chicago buds David Schwimmer, Vince Vaughn, John Cusack, and Joey Shotnick. No competition here in Chicago for attention and fame. Even their good ol buddy, Billy Dec is considered a celebrity. Dec owns an entertainment company among some other things and is dating reality citizen Bachorette Jennifer Scheft. Chicago has a tendency to stretch the term celebrity. Can you say lame?

Furthermore, he's got that gross factor. He has hit on a friend's friend while she was with her mother in NYC.

Expect to see him make more of a spectacle of himself as his ego inflates. He was on Conan last night, unapologetically promoting his movie. Jeremy Pivens will alway be a D-Lister in my eyes.
